A safe, water free, air scraping technique removes all the moss and is suitable for all roof types. This is followed by a professional, tailored chemical application to safely sanitise the roof and keep it cleaner for longer.
Moss holds water against your roof tiles, and in a British winter that water freezes, expands and slowly breaks the surface of the tile apart. Loose moss then washes into the gutters and blocks the whole drainage system.
We clean roofs using a water-free air scraping technique. Compressed air lifts the moss cleanly off the tile without the pressure, water and grit damage that jet washing causes — and without soaking your loft or your walls.
Once the roof is stripped back, we apply a tailored biocide treatment. This kills off the remaining spores at root level and keeps the roof visibly cleaner for far longer than cleaning alone.
Removing moss stops the freeze-thaw cycle that cracks tiles and shortens the life of the whole roof.
Air scraping is safe on concrete, clay and slate — it doesn't strip the protective surface off the tile.
Most gutter blockages are moss washed down off the roof. Treat the cause and the gutters stay clearer.
A clean roofline transforms how the whole property looks, which matters if you're selling or letting.
We assess tile type and condition, and flag any slipped or damaged tiles before any work starts.
Moss and lichen are removed dry, working methodically across the roof with no water and no pressure washing.
A professional treatment is applied to kill remaining spores and slow regrowth for years, not months.
Fallen moss is cleared from gutters, paths and borders, and all waste is taken away.

It is, but it forces water under the tiles and erodes the surface, which brings the moss back faster and can cause leaks. Air scraping is slower and far kinder to the roof.
The biocide keeps working for a long time after application. Most roofs stay visibly clean for several years, depending on how shaded and tree-covered the property is.
